Enhancing Our Neighborhood

Clark And Addison Site

Introducing Addison Park on Clark – a unique transit-oriented and environmentally sensitive development located in the heart of Lakeview that will provide new services and benefits to the community.

The proposed mixed-use development consists of a hotel, retail shopping and apartment units located along the south side of the 1000 block of west Addison Street, from Sheffield west to Clark Street and extending south on Clark approximately one block.

Businesses in operation on the site today include a convenience store, a coffee chain outlet, a live theater and several local restaurants and taverns, as well as significant surface parking spaces.

Unfortunately, some of the current uses of the property and the undeveloped surface parking lots do not necessarily reflect the aesthetic or transit-friendly amenities the community wants to encourage and which can help improve the quality of life for everyone in the neighborhood.

Addison Park on Clark will address the critical need for modern hotel space in the communities north of downtown. From Diversey Avenue north to Evanston, there are limited hotel options for the growing number of visitors to Chicago’s great lakefront neighborhoods, such as Lakeview.

Addison Park on Clark is also planning to include other retails options, such as a grocery store or fitness center, among other options, which will address another set of community needs. Existing businesses will also have the opportunity to return once construction is complete. We look forward to briefing the community as additional aspects of the development are completed.
